SOPRO Tanking Membrane 5kg is a professional liquid waterproofing membrane designed for use beneath ceramic and stone tile coverings. The ready-to-use, one-component formula creates a continuous waterproof layer that protects moisture-sensitive substrates from water penetration. Its flexible properties allow it to bridge minor cracks and accommodate movement within stable substrates, helping to provide long-lasting protection. SOPRO Tanking Membrane is suitable for moisture-exposed areas where reliable waterproofing is required before tiling, including bathrooms, shower areas, washrooms and sanitary facilities.

Coverage depends on substrate condition, application method and coating thickness.
Application: The substrate must be clean, dry, stable and free from dust, grease and loose particles. Apply SOPRO Tanking Membrane evenly using a roller, brush or suitable trowel. Apply two coats, allowing sufficient drying time between applications. Corners, joints and movement areas should be reinforced with suitable waterproofing tapes and accessories where required. After the membrane has fully dried, ceramic tiles can be installed using a suitable flexible tile adhesive.
